Senior Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prioritize and manage the tasks of the development team to enhance product value.

• Engage in daily interactions with the development team and scrum master.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager to establish and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with the strategic product vision, roadmap, and evolving business requirements.

• Work closely with stakeholders to comprehend end-user needs and challenges, shaping requirements accordingly.

• Grasp customer requirements and validate the solutions proposed by the delivery team.

• Convey business priorities to technical team members by documenting user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that may impact product delivery.

• Ensure product quality meets the defined acceptance criteria and aligns with customer expectations.

• Communicate product functionalities and sprint results as needed or during PI planning sessions.

• Provide support to multiple Agile Delivery Teams.

• Foster relationships between business and IT partners to enable high-value product development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in representing business or technology during technology implementations and/or in product/project management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, meeting facilitation, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.

• Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and project management abilities.

• Strong critical thinking skills with the capacity to anticipate team needs, take initiative, ask pertinent questions, and deliver high-quality results.

• Proven problem-solving skills to develop effective solutions that fulfill business requirements.

• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with overlapping deadlines.

• Ability to work independently.

• Preferably knowledgeable in quoting, rating, and underwriting.

• Certification as a SAFe® Product Owner/Product Manager or an equivalent is preferred.

• Agile/Scrum certification is also preferred.

• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Previous experience with the Agile development process, particularly in story writing.

• Ability to collaborate with project stakeholders and remote teams at all levels within a team-oriented environment.

• Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle, Waterfall, and/or Agile Development Methodologies.

• Home internet service with a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps.
