Senior Product Owner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Communicate the product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team.

• Create user stories and prioritize the product backlog.

• Optimize the value of products developed by the Agile team.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and the development team to ensure the appropriate product is developed in the correct sequence, within budget, and by the deadline.

• Act as the primary point of contact for the Agile team regarding information, work prioritization, and decision-making.

• Shape departmental strategy.

• Make decisions regarding technical approaches for various project components.

• Establish objectives and strategies for assignments with significant autonomy.

• Report to the Director of Product Management.

• Assist Humana in securing and transitioning to a new business opportunity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in technical roles, product ownership, or project management.

• Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager; certification may be required post-hire if not already obtained.

• Proficient in Agile methodologies, including Scrum, SAFe, Agile Release Trains, backlog management, and iterative delivery.

• Experience with digital tools, customer service platforms, operational workflows, or technology solutions for associates.

• Capability to balance strategic roadmap priorities with tactical delivery requirements, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory for Department of Defense contracts.

• Must obtain government security clearance through the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS).

• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.

• Dedicated workspace free from interruptions to safeguard PHI/HIPAA information.

• Preferred: Experience in Program Integrity, Fraud, Waste & Abuse, and Auditing.

• Preferred: 3+ years of experience with system integrations, including requirements gathering, dependencies, testing, and implementation across interconnected systems.

• Preferred: Master’s degree.
