This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Directly report to the Director of Product Management and collaborate daily with another Product Owner.
• Assist in establishing the product vision and aligning stakeholders around that vision, strategy, and customer requirements.
• Manage a well-defined, prioritized product backlog and set goals for each product increment through iterative Agile development.
• Define product requirements, organize development iterations, review progress, and accept deliverables for customer release.
• Comprehend and monitor evolving customer needs alongside product and customer growth teams.
• Analyze product metrics to enhance customer value and inform decisions regarding product investments.
• Convert company/product strategy into prioritized, outcome-focused roadmaps.
• Engage with customers to grasp their needs, test concepts, and validate the priorities in the backlog.
• Assess potential enhancements and make decisions on build/buy/partner options and sequencing trade-offs.
• Refine the backlog; create user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge case scenarios.
• Balance technical debt with new features and bug fixes, making prioritization choices accordingly.
• Lead product solution discussions with customer success, product design, and other team members.
• Act as the decision-maker for the development team regarding scope, sequencing, and acceptance.
• Remove obstacles for engineering and manage scope adjustments during releases.
• Ensure release readiness and verify that features meet identified needs.
• Provide product expertise to sales for RFPs, demonstrations, training, and documentation.
• Represent customer and market needs to engineering while conveying engineering constraints to the business.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate status updates, risks, and trade-offs to leadership.
• Define and evaluate the success of features or initiatives; analyze adoption rates, satisfaction levels, and delivery predictability.
• Integrate qualitative feedback and quantitative usage data into product decision-making.
• Validate assumptions through prototypes, pilots, and exploratory projects.
• Mentor junior Product Owners and enhance product development processes.
• Over 7 years of experience in B2B SaaS software organizations, with at least 4 years in a Product Owner role.
• Required experience and knowledge in the energy/utility industry, particularly in transmission planning and/or interconnection processes.
• Proficient in both written and verbal communication, able to switch between technical and business topics.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with executive-level stakeholders and propose pathways for risk mitigation and opportunity securing.
• Comprehensive understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Capability to manage multiple projects, teams, and deliverables simultaneously.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing internal and external priorities.
• Must hold U.S. person status: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
