Senior Product Manager – Upstream

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of backend and API-related product tasks within the optimization layer, which encompasses waterfall, prebid/auction, exclusion logic, and the scoring model; develop PRDs and tickets to enhance these functionalities.

• Create and oversee Jira Epics, Confluence documentation, JPD Ideas, and engage in Product-related Agile practices, including sprint planning, PRD evaluations, retrospectives, and stakeholder presentations.

• Conduct product discovery sessions with both internal and external customers, drafting clear user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Manage daily publisher and partner integrations, including VAST and RTB protocols.

• Monitor active campaigns, daily delivery, and performance reports; identify any anomalies and collaborate with AdOps and QA to address these issues.

• Assist the programmatic team with incoming requests and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Collaborate with data science to refine the scoring model, critically examining the methodology, challenging assumptions, and converting the model into product specifications.

• Act as the technical product leader during integrations and discussions with key US streaming publishers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in product management.

• Strong technical knowledge of ad tech infrastructure; capable of understanding API design and backend operations, and able to engage effectively with engineers.

• Practical experience with VAST and/or RTB integrations.

• Proficient in data analysis and interpretation of performance reports.

• Proven ability to draft PRDs with a clear identification of problems, well-defined user stories, and explicit requirements.

• Familiarity with product discovery principles.

• Proficient in both Ukrainian and English.

• Must be located in Ukraine or Europe.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating with data science teams on modeling or algorithmic products.

• Preferred: Background in technical support or solutions roles interacting with external customers or partners.

• Preferred: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for collaboration with US-based publishers and internal teams.
