
Senior Product Manager, Test Preparation – Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for test preparation and practice within ACT's assessment offerings.
• Establish positioning and business models for both free and paid test preparation products.
• Balance increased access to free practice resources with growth in revenue from paid products.
• Oversee external test preparation partners and facilitate collaborative roadmaps.
• Assess and seek new partnerships for free or low-cost test preparation resources.
• Identify ways to capture a larger share of learners' spending from competitors.
• Develop channel strategies for practice tests and content delivery.
• Lead the modernization and repositioning of ACT's signature test preparation products.
• Define the test preparation and practice requirements for PreACT and WorkKeys.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Market Research on positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
• Increase revenue for both B2B and B2C sectors, including identifying new B2B opportunities.
• Establish and monitor product and business performance metrics.
• Represent the test preparation and practice strategy in partner negotiations, internal planning sessions, and cross-functional discussions.
• Balance learner value, partner relationships, and revenue growth in product-related decisions.
• Build relationships with vendor partners and internal stakeholders.
• Implement the roadmap and drive progress toward revenue and engagement goals.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in product management.
• A proven history of managing and expanding a commercial product portfolio.
• Experience with freemium, subscription, or B2C monetization strategies.
• Proven capability in converting free users into paying customers.
• Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with external vendors or licensing partners.
• Experience in negotiating joint roadmaps and commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of product roadmap planning and prioritization methodologies.
• Familiarity with agile development processes.
• Experience utilizing customer insights and competitive analysis to influence pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
• Track record of balancing the interests of internal teams, external partners, and customers to achieve commercial outcomes.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong business acumen.
• Comfort in managing revenue, engagement, and lifetime value metrics.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
• Experience in the test preparation, EdTech, or educational content sectors is advantageous.
• Experience in creating or scaling a free-to-paid conversion funnel is beneficial.
• Familiarity with adaptive learning, digital practice tests, or assessment content products is a plus.
• Experience with affiliate, licensing, or wholesale commercial models is advantageous.
• Experience in exploring or launching B2B extensions of primarily B2C products is a plus.
• A background in working with high school students, families, or educators as end customers is a plus.
• Finalists will be subject to a criminal background check.
• Completion of the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate is recommended.
