This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of backend and operational systems that facilitate Clever’s expansion.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to establish requirements for APIs, integrations, data flows, internal tools, and workflow automation.
• Convert business and operational challenges into detailed specifications, MVPs, trade-offs, and measurable results.
• Enhance partner APIs by overseeing validation, normalization, deduplication, routing, error management, and overall integration health.
• Spot opportunities to minimize manual tasks, boost data quality, automate workflows, and create dependable systems.
• Increase transparency regarding system health, failures, edge cases, and operational hurdles.
• Set and define success metrics and instrumentation to assess system performance.
• Utilize AI tools to expedite research, discovery, documentation, prototyping, analysis, and execution.
• Work in conjunction with Operations and business stakeholders to identify workflow challenges and develop scalable solutions.
• Report directly to Product leadership while engaging cross-functionally throughout the organization.
• Proven experience managing backend and operational systems that drive business growth.
• Capability to collaborate with senior engineers on APIs, integrations, data flows, internal tools, and workflow automation.
• Proficiency in translating complex business and operational issues into straightforward specifications, MVPs, trade-offs, and measurable outcomes.
• Familiarity with partner APIs, including lead validation, normalization, deduplication, routing, error management, and integration health.
• Skill in enhancing data quality, automating workflows, and developing robust systems.
• Ability to establish success metrics and proper instrumentation.
• Regular use of AI tools for research, discovery, documentation, prototyping, analysis, and execution.
• Comfortable discussing APIs, data flows, and system trade-offs.
• Experience with underlying systems and operations rather than focusing solely on feature-surface work.
