Senior Product Manager, Switchboard

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define the vision and strategic roadmap for Switchboard, aligning customer requirements and internal operational challenges with engineering priorities.

• Collaborate with engineering and site reliability engineering teams to enhance tools for managing Dedicated instances, including upgrades and maintenance efforts.

• Enhance the customer-facing dashboard for infrastructure settings, private networking, authentication, and instance health monitoring.

• Interact directly with customers to gather insights, clarify product decisions, and integrate their feedback into the roadmap.

• Utilize a robust user-experience perspective in product decisions and refine workflows through hands-on collaboration with engineering teams.

• Optimize tools and user experiences for transitioning from self-managed GitLab to Dedicated and for incident management processes.

• Expand Switchboard's capabilities to accommodate GitLab.com as its architecture continues to evolve.

• Foster collaboration among product management, engineering, and site reliability engineering teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in owning a product vision and roadmap, along with working alongside engineering to implement enhancements for users.

• Technical knowledge of infrastructure and operational trade-offs.

• Experience in simplifying complex technical workflows to make them more understandable and user-friendly.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage directly with customers.

• Capability to work autonomously, interpret a dynamic problem landscape, and prioritize effectively across customer experience, operational efficiency, and business objectives.

• Team members should be prepared to integrate AI into their daily tasks.

• Experience with control planes, cloud management consoles, infrastructure products, internal operational tools, customer migrations, or incident management is a plus but not mandatory.
