Senior Product Manager – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.

📋 Description

• Define the product vision for the Platform, manage the roadmap, and prioritize tasks focusing on reliability, security, and long-term scalability.

• Collaborate with engineering on architectural decisions, addressing technical debt, and making build-vs-buy assessments.

• Take ownership of authentication and identity workflows.

• Guide investments in mobile infrastructure to enhance performance and stability for both iOS and Android.

• Develop feedback loops with internal product teams that rely on the Platform.

• Validate potential opportunities through targeted experiments and technical spikes.

• Establish success metrics linked to reliability, uptime, and developer velocity.

• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to adhere to Buildertrend standards.

• Articulate technical trade-offs to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

• Leverage AI tools, such as Claude, Lovable, and CoPilot, for prototyping, analysis, documentation, and experimentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

• Over 5 years of product management experience in B2B software, including ownership of platform, horizontal, or internal tools products.

• Demonstrated success in delivering products that enhance reliability, performance, or scalability.

• Capability to drive large initiatives across various teams and organizations.

• Strong product judgment and the ability to translate technical decisions into business outcomes.

• Proficient in making clear decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.

• A systems thinker with an understanding of end-to-end infrastructure and dependencies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Comfortable interacting directly with engineers regarding architecture, APIs, and technical trade-offs.

• Proficient in utilizing tools such as Claude Code to explore the codebase, evaluate technical trade-offs, and maintain ownership of AI-assisted outputs.
