Senior Product Manager – PCE Platform, APIs

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the Priority Commerce Engine (PCE) Platform & APIs, guiding product direction, roadmap, and developer experiences.

• Establish and refine a multi-quarter roadmap aligned with customer, developer, and business outcomes.

• Develop business concepts, lifecycle semantics, events, integration behaviors, and requirements for PCE APIs.

• Lead initiatives related to the platform and APIs that encompass transactions, money movement, onboarding, entities, accounts, banking, treasury, and financial operations.

• Navigate complex, cross-functional platform challenges to derive clear requirements, trade-offs, and product decisions.

• Evaluate new and evolving capabilities, assessing their impact on the platform roadmap.

• Recognize recurring integration requirements, distinguishing between common platform capabilities and product-specific solutions.

• Manage API compatibility, versioning, migration, coexistence, and deprecation.

• Collaborate with Developer Enablement and Embedded Product teams to facilitate adoption across developer and embedded experiences.

• Define and monitor outcomes such as API adoption, cross-product utilization, migration progress, and integration consistency.

• Leverage AI and contemporary product tools to enhance analysis, requirements, stories, acceptance criteria, and documentation.

• Work alongside Engineering and Program or Project Management to implement initiatives.

• Articulate platform strategy, priorities, dependencies, and trade-offs to Product, Engineering, Architecture, and executive stakeholders.

• Prioritize platform investments based on customer value, business impact, leverage, dependencies, risk, and long-term value.

⛳️ Requirements

• Approximately 7 to 10 years of relevant Product Management experience, including significant ownership of platform, API, integration, or technically complex products; this serves as a guideline rather than a barrier.

• Extensive expertise in banking and/or payments, covering transactions, money movement, accounts, balances, settlement, onboarding, and financial operations.

• Practical experience managing API or platform products that support multiple applications, partners, or external integrations.

• Strong comprehension of REST APIs, events, asynchronous workflows, lifecycle modeling, versioning, backward compatibility, and integration patterns.

• Capability to convert intricate financial functionalities into clear product requirements and API behaviors.

• Proven product judgment and experience in transforming ambiguous, cross-functional issues from discovery to delivery.

• Experience in evolving APIs, including migration, compatibility, modernization, and adoption.

• Background working with Engineering and Architecture on technical trade-offs and influencing teams without direct authority.

• Exceptional skills in roadmap creation, prioritization, communication, and managing executive stakeholders.

• Proficiency in AI-assisted Product workflows and hands-on requirements, stories, acceptance criteria, analysis, and documentation.

• Experience across various financial domains such as merchant acquiring, banking, treasury, payables, onboarding or underwriting, ledgering, reconciliation, or money movement.

• Familiarity with payment rails like ACH, RTP/FedNow, cards, wires, or checks.

• Proven experience in building API platforms that support various processors, financial institutions, providers, or business domains.

• Knowledge of OpenAPI, webhooks, API gateways, idempotency, SDK ecosystems, developer platforms, or API observability.

• Experience managing API migrations or deprecations across multiple consumers.

• Background in regulated financial environments.
