Senior Product Manager, Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the strategy, roadmap, and execution for Engine’s payments and fintech offerings, which include payment acceptance, card issuance, and the essential financial infrastructure.

• Enhance payment capabilities by introducing new payment methods, card programs, and establishing financial partnerships.

• Collaborate with Business Development and Product leaders to develop and secure partnerships.

• Work closely with design, engineering, marketing, customer experience, and sales teams from the initial ideation stage through to post-launch.

• Integrate AI into daily product operations and create AI-native payment and spend management experiences.

• Represent the Payments function in executive discussions, cross-functional meetings, and in-depth customer analyses.

• Advance and broaden Engine’s payments platform to facilitate acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in product management, including substantial experience with technical or platform-oriented products.

• Proven experience overseeing complex backend systems from start to finish.

• Demonstrated success in delivering products utilized by other teams and customers.

• While direct experience in payments, credit cards, or fintech is advantageous, it is not mandatory.

• Hands-on familiarity with payment acceptance, card issuance, authorization, settlement, or reconciliation is a plus.

• Strong technical knowledge in system architecture, trade-offs, and design.

• Capability to conduct technical evaluations and transform ambiguity into a concrete plan.

• Proficiency in building and scaling cross-functional systems with a long-term vision.

• Customer-centric product design skills, with an understanding of how infrastructure influences customer experience.

• Regular use of AI tools and a well-defined perspective on AI's influence on product teams and payments.

• Experience in delivering AI-driven features or workflows.

• A builder mentality; hands-on and collaborative approach.
