Senior Product Manager – New Units

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage all facets of the LMS100 new unit production initiative.

• Formulate the program plan and ensure business alignment.

• Oversee the toll gate process, cost management and allocation, business case development and refinement, as well as engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing readiness.

• Work in conjunction with the LMS100 Product Line Leader to implement the platform’s vision and strategy.

• Take responsibility for the MGPP of the LMS100 platform.

• Maintain an up-to-date Approval to Quote for the LMS100 portfolio.

• Propel the strategic implementation of corrective actions across NPI, new unit production, shipping, installation, and commissioning.

• Direct portfolio decisions regarding standardization, customization, technology, and product configuration.

• Lead cross-functional teams to uphold product standards, configuration guidelines, technical documentation, and reference designs.

• Evaluate customer specifications to identify technical, commercial, and contractual risks.

• Integrate lessons learned from projects and commissioning activities into subsequent product enhancements.

• Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to enhance sourcing strategies, standardization, lead times, quality, and costs.

• Own the Cost of Poor Quality target for Aeroderivative related to assigned systemic product quality challenges.

• Drive process enhancements across NPI Value Streams.

• Oversee NPI toll gate processes for business and fleet enhancements concerning packaging and new unit production.

• Track installation and commissioning timelines and work collaboratively across functions to optimize processes.

• Team up with sales, technical sales, and business development teams to create technical and commercial offerings.

• Execute action plans for long-term solutions addressing product quality challenges.

• Manage communication with customers regarding product fleet concerns.

• Report on workstreams, achievements, and areas requiring assistance or guidance during product updates and discussions with senior management.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a business-related field.

• At least 8+ years of experience in Gas Turbine Technology or a related industry.

• A minimum of 4 years in a leadership position within a product line, engineering, services, or program/project management.

• Previous experience working with operational and execution service teams is preferred.

• Strong team-building and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to think creatively and solve problems innovatively.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present at an executive level.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.

• Proficient in interacting effectively with all organizational levels.

• Experience in a global work environment.

• Knowledge and understanding of product line technology and processes is a significant advantage.

• A proven change agent focused on efficient execution in a complex, diverse, and dynamic cross-functional global team.

• Exceptional technical, business, and financial analysis abilities.

• In-depth knowledge of the power generation market.

• Proven skills in leadership, influence, and strategic planning.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
