
Senior Product Manager – Mortgage Lending Technology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the roadmap for a specified product area within MeridianLink Mortgage, guiding it from discovery through delivery and iterative processes.
• Conduct ongoing discovery via customer interviews, usage analytics, and collaboration with partners in financial institutions.
• Create Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories for engineering teams.
• Facilitate agile delivery ceremonies and maintain a prioritized backlog that aligns with team Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Define and track product Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), utilizing data to guide prioritization and showcase business impact.
• Work alongside fellow Product Managers to ensure coherence across product areas and alignment on platform-level strategies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, User Experience (UX), Sales, Customer Success, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment and remove obstacles to delivery.
• Act as the product authority within the domain, converting customer needs into clear requirements.
• Contribute to team-level strategy and influence the overall Mortgage product roadmap.
• Identify opportunities for AI/ML-driven decision-making, intelligent automation, and API extensibility.
• Keep abreast of trends in mortgage lending, fintech competition, and regulatory changes.
• Advocate for thoughtful UX and API-first design patterns.
• A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant product management experience.
• Demonstrated success in owning a product area from end-to-end — encompassing discovery, definition, delivery, and iteration.
• Experience in managing API-integrated software products involving multiple stakeholder groups.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and contemporary product discovery practices (including Jobs-to-Be-Done and continuous discovery).
• Analytical mindset — adept at utilizing data and product analytics tools to inform decisions and assess outcomes.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; capable of simplifying complexities and aligning diverse stakeholders.
• Profound customer empathy — committed time to understanding users and translating those insights into tangible improvements.
• Domain knowledge in mortgage lending, loan origination systems (LOS), or financial institution software (highly preferred).
• Familiarity with API/integration products (highly preferred).
• Exposure to AI/ML within product contexts (highly preferred).
• Experience engaging with or selling to banks, credit unions, or other regulated financial institutions (highly preferred).
• Working knowledge of consumer lending regulations (such as TILA, ECOA, fair lending, CFPB guidance) (highly preferred).
• Must possess the legal right to work in the United States; the application will inquire about the need for sponsorship.
