Senior Product Manager, Identity and Access Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the strategy and roadmap for 8am's Identity and Access Management platform.

• Manage the roadmap for login processes, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, session management, and passwordless authentication.

• Define and refine role-based access control and fine-grained entitlements across various products and customer segments.

• Drive the strategy for the identity platform, encompassing APIs, service-to-service authentication, and integrations with both internal and third-party systems.

• Convert security, compliance, and business requirements into a prioritized roadmap while effectively communicating trade-offs.

• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to scope, sequence, and deliver IAM capabilities from initial discovery through to launch and iteration.

• Serve as the internal identity expert for product teams.

• Establish IAM success metrics and utilize data to prioritize investments.

• Advocate for the needs of customers and internal engineering consumers in roadmap decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• A strong 5+ years of product management experience, with substantial involvement in owning a platform, infrastructure, or security-related product.

• Direct experience with identity and access management principles, including authentication protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML), SSO, MFA, session management, and authorization/RBAC models.

• Ability to operate comfortably in a technically complex environment.

• Proven track record of delivering platform capabilities that serve as a foundation for other internal teams, rather than solely customer-facing features.

• Excellent prioritization skills and judgment to balance security/compliance needs with speed and usability.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of articulating technical identity concepts clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience collaborating with security and compliance teams (e.g., SOC 2, data privacy requirements) is preferred and considered a plus.

• Demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools and technologies to enhance workflows, improve decision-making, or foster innovation.
