Senior Product Manager – GridBeats Device Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the product vision, strategy, and long-term roadmap for GridBeats™ Device Management.

• Convert market insights and customer challenges into prioritized opportunities with quantifiable business outcomes.

• Make prioritization choices and ensure alignment among stakeholders from product, engineering, sales, and executive leadership.

• Engage in ongoing customer discovery with operators, protection engineers, and utility leaders.

• Keep track of competitive trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements.

• Represent GE Vernova at industry conferences and events.

• Manage the multi-year business case, which includes revenue projections, build costs, margin goals, and investment priorities.

• Define and oversee the software licensing model and associated policies.

• Establish and manage the software lifecycle policy for DvM releases.

• Direct deployment and go-to-market model decisions across on-premises, cloud-hosted, hybrid, and SaaS alternatives.

• Oversee the complete product lifecycle from concept and business case through to requirements, development, launch, and post-launch iterations.

• Define and take charge of business and product requirements throughout release cycles.

• Develop opportunity canvases, PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate closely with commercial, engineering, design, and delivery teams.

• Work alongside Marketing on messaging, materials, and campaigns.

• Partner with global sales teams to manage customer relationships, implement go-to-market strategies, provide product training, and enhance awareness programs.

• Define and monitor product KPIs, including adoption rates, retention, time-to-value, financial outcomes, and market share.

• Utilize both quantitative and qualitative data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years leading industrial or enterprise B2B software products.

• Proven experience in creating modern software products utilizing containers and microservices architectures.

• Familiarity with multiple deployment models: on-premise, cloud, and SaaS.

• Expertise in data-driven decision-making, including defining metrics, performing analyses, and navigating uncertainty to develop and communicate product strategy.

• Practical experience with Product Discovery, Lean Startup, Design Thinking, or similar methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability in using AI tools for synthesizing customer discovery, drafting PRDs, conducting competitive analysis, sizing opportunities, and similar tasks.

• Knowledge of Agile and other New Product Introduction (NPI) methodologies.

• Capable of working effectively with globally distributed, cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Preferred: direct experience with electrical utilities, smart grid technologies, device management, protection relays, SCADA systems, fault recorders, IoT, or industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850.

• Preferred: experience in applying AI/ML capabilities within product strategy and roadmap decisions, as well as AI-based prototyping.

• MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
