This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
β’ Take charge of the Fisheries product strategy, vision, and roadmap.
β’ Oversee the development and launch of the inaugural Fisheries product release, concentrating on live fleet monitoring as well as catch and yield reporting.
β’ Conduct market and customer exploration with seafood buyers, retailers, processors, certification bodies, regulators, RFMO stakeholders, and NGOs.
β’ Define and enhance the product proposition and customer experience.
β’ Collaborate with data and domain experts to establish vessel identity, dark behavior, and catch estimation methodologies.
β’ Manage product positioning and competitive strategy.
β’ Direct the go-to-market strategy, encompassing positioning, messaging, packaging, pricing input, launch planning, and early customer engagement.
β’ Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships in data, certification, and distribution.
β’ Align Product, Engineering, Data, Sales, and Marketing teams around strategy, priorities, launches, and customer outcomes.
β’ Monitor product performance, gather customer feedback, track delivery progress, and assess risks to refine the roadmap and maximize impact.
β’ Develop a new product offering utilizing vessel, ownership, port, and trade-flow data to tackle seafood supply-chain transparency and IUU fishing issues.
β’ Empower procurement and compliance teams to monitor vessels, comprehend fishing activities, and support due diligence and traceability.
β’ Collaborate with external seafood-industry stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams.
β’ 5β7 years of experience in Product Management or senior commercial roles, preferably in maritime data, seafood supply chains, or a related B2B data/SaaS environment.
β’ Demonstrated success in managing products from start to finish, covering strategy, customer discovery, delivery, launch, and customer adoption.
β’ Ability to translate complex customer needs into product strategy, roadmap priorities, and product requirements.
β’ Strong comprehension of the fisheries data landscape, including vessel tracking, IUU risk, catch documentation, and supply chain traceability.
β’ Experience working in ambiguous, early-stage settings.
β’ Robust commercial and go-to-market experience, including positioning, packaging, pricing input, launch planning, and collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
β’ High level of data and analytical literacy.
β’ Familiarity with AIS, vessel identity, geospatial analysis, ownership, and flows.
β’ Exceptional stakeholder management abilities across technical, commercial, regulatory, and NGO audiences.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Proactive ownership mindset and inclination towards action.
β’ Prior experience in the fisheries or seafood sector, procurement, traceability, or certification is preferred.
β’ Experience in building and launching a new product line is preferred.
β’ Established network among seafood buyers, certification bodies, regulators, or fisheries NGOs is preferred.
β’ Understanding of IUU regulations, US SIMP, or the EU carding system is preferred.
