Senior Product Manager, Document Verification

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical roadmap for physical document identity verification (IDV), focusing on accuracy, coverage, fraud detection, and conversion.

• Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to evaluate model and system trade-offs.

• Identify areas for improvement and prioritize efforts to enhance customer outcomes.

• Balance the elements of accuracy, conversion, latency, and cost while adhering to existing enterprise contracts.

• Represent Veriff in intricate customer discussions and lead in-depth technical assessments.

• Collaborate with operations on the human-in-the-loop product and work with annotation teams on training and evaluation data.

• Engage with product marketing, legal, privacy, analytics, and go-to-market teams to launch, position, and scale products.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of comprehensive B2B/B2B2C Product Management experience, preferably in identity, computer vision, fraud, or high-throughput machine learning systems.

• Proficient in machine learning concepts, including precision/recall, loss functions, and threshold impacts on user conversion.

• Capable of writing queries, debugging data pipelines, and performing root-cause analysis independently.

• Comfortable engaging in highly technical discussions with enterprise customers.

• Proven ability to excel in a scale-up environment characterized by high ambiguity, rapid pace, and shifting priorities.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Experience in identity verification, document security, computer vision, or fraud detection.

• Familiarity with regulated sectors such as finance, mobility, or government technology.

• Prior experience in software engineering or data science is advantageous.

• A degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred, though not mandatory.
