📋 Description

• Define and take ownership of the product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for GridBeats Device Management.

• Convert market insights and customer challenges into prioritized opportunities that yield measurable business outcomes.

• Make decisions on prioritization and ensure alignment among product, engineering, sales, and executive stakeholders.

• Engage in ongoing customer discovery with operators, protection engineers, and utility executives.

• Keep track of competitive dynamics, regulatory trends, and technological advancements.

• Represent GE Vernova at industry conferences and events.

• Manage the multi-year business case, which includes revenue forecasts, cost-to-build, margin targets, and investment prioritization.

• Define and oversee the software licensing model and policy.

• Establish and govern the software lifecycle policy for releases.

• Lead decisions regarding deployment and go-to-market models, including on-premises, cloud-hosted, hybrid, and SaaS options.

• Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept and business case through to requirements, development, launch, and post-launch iterations.

• Define and maintain business and product requirements throughout release cycles.

• Write opportunity canvases, PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Ensure that requirements are baselined, traceable, and accepted prior to development commitment.

• Collaborate with commercial, engineering, design, and delivery teams.

• Partner with Marketing on messaging, collateral, and campaigns.

• Collaborate with global sales teams on customer relationships, go-to-market strategies, product training, and awareness initiatives.

• Define and monitor product KPIs such as adoption, retention, time-to-value, financial performance, and market share.

• Utilize both quantitative and qualitative evidence to inform decisions and foster continuous improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in product management, including at least 3 years leading industrial or enterprise B2B software products.

• Proven experience in building modern software products using containers and microservices architectures.

• Experience in supporting on-premise, cloud, and SaaS deployment models.

• Strong proficiency in data-driven decision-making, including defining metrics, conducting analyses, and navigating ambiguity to shape and communicate product strategy.

• Hands-on experience with Product Discovery, Lean Startup, Design Thinking, or similar methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience using AI tools for customer discovery synthesis, PRD drafting, competitive analysis, opportunity sizing, or similar workflows.

• Familiarity with Agile and other New Product Introduction methodologies.

• Ability to work effectively with globally distributed, cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel as needed.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• Preferred: direct experience with electrical utilities, smart grid, device management, protection relays, SCADA, fault recorders, IoT, or industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850.

• Preferred: experience in applying AI/ML capabilities in product strategy and roadmap decisions, as well as AI-based prototyping.

• An MBA or advanced degree is highly desired.
