Senior Product Manager – Design System

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Lead the long-term vision, adoption, and execution of the Design System across Web, iOS, and Android platforms.

• Manage the roadmap and prioritize the backlog in alignment with business objectives.

• Oversee the coordination of design and engineering workflows to ensure smooth delivery to internal product teams.

• Advocate for the Design System throughout the organization, enhancing awareness and sharing updates on progress.

• Establish high-quality, reusable components and patterns to set premium experience standards.

• Integrate accessibility guidelines and support for assistive technologies throughout the system.

• Collaborate with App teams to ensure alignment with Apple's Liquid Glass design language (iOS 26) and Android Edge-to-Edge requirements (Android 15 / API 35).

• Define productivity benchmarks and success metrics linked to business OKRs and the online scorecard.

• Assist in developing contribution models and governance frameworks as the system scales.

• Foster an engaged user community through regular outreach, feedback mechanisms, and quarterly surveys.

• Utilize AI tools for analysis, documentation, and daily product tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner.

• Background in treating a platform as a product, considering internal users as customers, including adoption and cross-team dependencies.

• Strong collaborative skills with design and engineering teams.

• Technical knowledge of theming, design tokens, and component architecture.

• Familiarity with web and mobile application development environments (iOS/Android).

• Understanding of accessibility standards, such as WCAG 2.2, and assistive technologies.

• Experience in defining success metrics, OKRs, and adoption benchmarks.

• Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management abilities, including the capability to influence without direct authority.

• Willingness to travel to the UK 1–2 times per month.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Hands-on experience managing a Design System, component library, or internal platform product is preferred.
