Senior Product Manager – Core, Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement product strategies for cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and storage components.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams on system architecture, RFCs, design assessments, and technical specifications.

• Foster product innovation in performance engineering, scalability, and infrastructure optimization.

• Conduct competitive benchmarking and influence product direction based on data insights and market trends.

• Partner with hardware vendors (CPU, GPU, storage, networking) to provide integrated and performance-optimized solutions.

• Synchronize roadmap and delivery across virtualization, cloud management platforms, and infrastructure tools for CSPs, MSPs, and enterprise providers.

• Manage cross-product initiatives and ensure seamless integration with both internal and third-party tools.

• Recognize emerging technology trends and direct long-term investments in innovation.

• Assist in defining and enforcing product quality KPIs, customer use cases, and performance benchmarks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Virtualization (containers, hypervisors, orchestration, GPU virtualization); Storage (block, file, object; erasure coding, tiering, caching, replication); Networking and security within distributed systems.

• Proven experience in drafting Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with comprehensive technical details.

• Capability to unite engineers, architects, and kernel developers around common product objectives.

• Experience leading technical design discussions and architecture reviews, as well as participating in RFC processes.

• Strong cross-functional leadership skills across QA, DevOps, SRE, benchmarking, and compliance.

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and security standards (FIPS, GDPR, PCI-DSS).

• Demonstrated ability to analyze performance benchmarks, establish KPIs, and make data-driven product decisions.

• Experience in collaborating on patentable technologies or filing IP in infrastructure sectors.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to foster alignment between product, engineering, and field teams.

• Over 5 years of experience in technical product management OR over 5 years of hands-on experience in OS/storage/networking development or system-level Linux administration.
