Senior Product Manager, Copay Programs

📋 Description

• Take ownership of defining and continually evolving CareMetx's copay program service model.

• Act as the primary internal expert on the mechanics of pharmaceutical copay programs.

• Identify gaps in capabilities and formulate prioritized plans to address them.

• Convert client requirements into program specifications, operational standards, and vendor guidelines.

• Assess ongoing programs and pinpoint opportunities for optimization.

• Keep track of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and vendor platform capabilities.

• Oversee daily vendor performance in alignment with program standards and service level agreements (SLAs).

• Supervise vendor delivery, data integrity, operational risks, and the resolution of issues.

• Coordinate vendor performance evaluations and document issues along with improvement strategies.

• Contribute insights into vendor contract renewals and the definition of SLAs.

• Provide advisory support to Account Management on copay programs and complex client inquiries.

• Collaborate with Operations on program setup, configuration, and issue resolution.

• Create training materials, process documentation, escalation frameworks, and quick-reference guides.

• Design and deliver training for the copay program.

• Engage in pre-sales discussions and assist in new client onboarding as the copay subject matter expert.

• Define and uphold the roadmap for copay program capabilities.

• Suggest capabilities based on market trends and client feedback.

• Influence the long-term strategy for the copay platform, including evaluations of Build/Buy decisions.

• Establish success metrics and report performance outcomes to senior leadership.

• Create standards and frameworks for scalable reporting of copay programs.

• Convert adjudication data, utilization trends, and program metrics into comprehensive performance narratives.

• Detect anomalies in program data and communicate findings to Account Management and Operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical patient services, hub services, specialty pharmacy, reimbursement program management, or related operational roles.

• In-depth working knowledge of pharmaceutical copay program mechanics, encompassing eligibility, adjudication, benefit design, and reimbursement operations.

• Proven product management experience in defining requirements, overseeing service or capability roadmaps, and driving cross-functional execution.

• Demonstrated ability to act as an internal subject matter expert, enabling and advising account management and operations teams.

• Senior-level experience in managing vendor or partner relationships, including performance oversight, SLA accountability, and issue resolution.

• Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret program performance data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

• Exceptional communication skills for explaining complex program concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Direct experience with pharmaceutical reimbursement platform vendors, including copay card processors or hub services platforms.

• Experience in defining or scaling copay, reimbursement, or patient services capabilities within a growing organization.

• Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturer brand teams, market access functions, and patient support program strategies.

• Involvement in vendor contract negotiations and SLA development.

• Background encompassing both product management and pharmaceutical operations.

• Must demonstrate flexibility in schedule and working hours.

• Some travel may be necessary.

• Must be able to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds.
