Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of an entire product area, responsible for its outcomes from start to finish.

• Align the product-area strategy with the overall priorities of the company.

• Collaborate with multiple teams to provide measurable value to art educators.

• Establish success metrics including engagement, retention, and learning impact.

• Influence prioritization among various competing opportunities.

• Convert company strategy into actionable product-area strategies, priorities, and success criteria.

• Ensure that all workstreams align with a unified direction.

• Lead discovery initiatives through consistent engagement with educators.

• Maintain high quality and consistency in discovery processes across teams.

• Manage trade-offs across different problem areas, user needs, and resource investments.

• Define product-area Epics in collaboration with engineering teams.

• Break down Epics into coherent, incremental components.

• Write and refine User Stories that include acceptance criteria, edge cases, and learning-quality requirements.

• Align stakeholders throughout the organization regarding priorities and strategic direction.

• Monitor performance against established outcomes.

• Utilize data and AI-assisted analysis to assess impact.

• Promote experimentation to enhance decision-making over time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a product or product area with measurable outcomes.

• Proven history of owning a product or product area, rather than merely contributing.

• Strong capabilities in product discovery.

• Comfort in engaging directly with users.

• Ability to make and justify product decisions based on evidence and sound judgment rather than consensus.

• Hands-on experience across design, engineering, and collaboration with domain experts such as curriculum specialists.

• Skill in navigating ambiguity and transforming it into clarity.

• Capability to manage both overarching strategy and detailed epic-and-story-level tasks.

• Experience in education, ed-tech, or other mission-driven sectors where learning impact is key is preferred.

• Experience in setting strategy across multiple teams or workstreams is a plus.

• Experience collaborating closely with curriculum or subject-matter experts is advantageous.

• Familiarity with using AI to enhance discovery and decision-making is desirable.

• Experience in developing products for both individual educators and institutional clients such as schools and districts is beneficial.
