This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the product vision and roadmap for payroll and integrations.
• Establish product direction and ensure company alignment with it.
• Lead payroll initiatives across Canadian and US jurisdictions from the discovery phase through to launch and adoption.
• Manage the integrations portfolio comprehensively, covering build, maintenance, refactoring, and sunset decisions.
• Define the direction for API and platform development.
• Regularly engage with customers to gain insights into payroll operations, challenges, and priorities.
• Establish and track metrics for payroll accuracy and integration health.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, QA, support, sales, and customer success teams.
• Develop go-to-market strategies in partnership with customer-facing teams.
• Ensure successful launches achieve high customer adoption rates.
• Familiarize yourself with the payroll product, conduct customer interviews, and collaborate with support and implementation teams during the initial six months.
• Create and publish a roadmap for Canada/US payroll and integrations.
• Deliver significant product enhancements and outline an integrations strategy.
• Minimum of 6 years in product management.
• Proven experience managing a product area from start to finish.
• Hands-on payroll experience in either Canada or the United States.
• Knowledge of remittance deadlines, year-end processes, and tax compliance.
• Background in B2B SaaS with operational complexity.
• Experience with implementation, data migration, or third-party systems.
• Capability to work directly with data and demonstrate analytical skills.
• Proficient understanding of APIs and integrations at a product level.
• Ability to conduct design discussions with engineers and make informed trade-offs.
• Strong, persuasive writing skills.
• Proven history of launching products that are widely adopted by customers.
• Nice to have: Payroll experience across both Canada and the US.
• Nice to have: Experience in benefits, tax, fintech, or healthcare sectors.
• Nice to have: Involvement with platform, API, or partner ecosystem product work.
• Nice to have: Experience with POS or HRIS integrations.
• Nice to have: Customer experience in hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit franchise settings.
