This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the product vision and roadmap for payroll and integrations.
• Establish the product direction and ensure company-wide alignment.
• Lead payroll initiatives across Canadian and US jurisdictions from initial discovery to launch and adoption.
• Manage the integrations portfolio comprehensively, including decisions on build, maintenance, refactoring, and sunset.
• Define the direction for APIs and platforms.
• Regularly engage with customers to comprehend payroll workflows, challenges, and priorities.
• Establish and utilize metrics to assess payroll accuracy and integration health.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, QA, support, sales, and customer success teams.
• Develop go-to-market strategies in partnership with customer-facing teams.
• Ensure successful customer adoption following product launches.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the payroll product and identify improvement opportunities within the first two months.
• Conduct interviews with at least a dozen customers and collaborate with support and implementation teams.
• Publish a comprehensive Canada/US payroll and integrations roadmap.
• Deliver a significant product enhancement and evaluate its impact.
• Document the strategy for the integrations portfolio.
• Minimum of 6 years in product management.
• Proven experience overseeing a product area from start to finish.
• Practical payroll experience in Canada or the United States.
• Familiarity with remittance deadlines, year-end processing, and tax compliance.
• Background in B2B SaaS with operational complexities.
• Experience with implementation, data migration, or third-party systems.
• Capability to work directly with data and draw evidence-based conclusions.
• Product-level proficiency with APIs and integrations.
• Ability to engage in technical design discussions and make informed tradeoffs.
• Strong and persuasive writing skills.
• Proven track record of delivering products that are adopted by customers.
• Nice to have: payroll experience in both Canada and the US.
• Nice to have: experience in benefits, tax, fintech, or healthcare.
• Nice to have: experience in platform, API, or partner ecosystem product work.
• Nice to have: experience with POS or HRIS integrations.
• Nice to have: customer experience in hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit franchise sectors.
