This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of the product vision for payroll and integrations.
• Establish and communicate the product roadmap while ensuring company alignment.
• Lead payroll initiatives across Canadian and US jurisdictions from initial discovery to launch and adoption.
• Manage the integrations portfolio comprehensively, covering build, maintenance, refactoring, and sunset decisions.
• Define the direction for APIs and platforms.
• Engage regularly with customers to gain insights into payroll workflows, identify time-saving opportunities, and understand future needs.
• Establish and utilize metrics for monitoring payroll accuracy and integration performance.
• Collaborate effectively with design, engineering, QA, support, sales, and customer success teams.
• Develop go-to-market strategies and ensure successful customer adoption during launches.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the payroll product and pinpoint potential opportunities.
• Publish a comprehensive roadmap for Canada/US payroll and integrations.
• Deliver significant product enhancements and assess their impact.
• Document a strategy for the integrations portfolio.
• Minimum of 6 years in product management, with several years of experience overseeing a product area from start to finish.
• Hands-on experience with payroll processes in Canada or the United States.
• Experience in building, managing, or overseeing payroll products or payroll operations in at least one of Canada or the United States.
• Knowledge of remittance deadlines, year-end processing, and tax compliance.
• Experience in B2B SaaS environments with genuine operational complexity.
• Familiarity with implementation, data migration, or third-party system integrations.
• Proficiency in working directly with data.
• Fluency in understanding APIs and integrations at the product level.
• Ability to engage in design discussions with engineers and make informed trade-offs.
• Strong and persuasive writing skills.
• Proven history of successfully launching products that were adopted by customers.
• Preferred: Payroll experience in both Canada and the United States.
• Preferred: Experience in another highly regulated field such as benefits, tax, fintech, or healthcare.
• Preferred: Experience with platform, API, or partner ecosystem product development.
• Preferred: Knowledge of POS or HRIS integration.
• Preferred: Customer experience in hospitality, restaurant, or multi-unit franchise sectors.
