Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee and prioritize key strategic initiatives involving Risk, Engineering, Marketing, Compliance, Bank Partnerships, and Legal.

• Interpret and clarify technical requirements to ensure readiness for development.

• Assess and convey project impacts utilizing data effectively.

• Make informed trade-offs and support decision-making at the departmental level.

• Act as the primary source of understanding for product operations across Risk, Marketing, Engineering, Compliance, and the Call Center.

• Manage the complete product lifecycle from discovery and business case formulation through implementation, launch, monitoring, and optimization.

• Foster experimentation through A/B testing and data analysis.

• Enhance conversion rates, approval rates, funding, customer outcomes, and overall portfolio performance.

• Identify and prioritize opportunities for AI/ML throughout the lending lifecycle.

• Oversee AI/ML delivery from concept to measurable outcomes.

• Utilize AI tools daily for research, drafting requirements, conducting data analysis, and prototyping.

• Propel initiatives that impact loan volume growth and portfolio performance.

• Prioritize the lending business roadmap while concurrently managing essential business-as-usual operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of product management experience within the financial services sector.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects that require coordination and alignment among multiple departments.

• Experience in drafting requirements for Engineering and other departments.

• Familiarity with supporting or leading the implementation of decision engines or similar technical platforms.

• Capacity to prioritize projects with varying objectives from different departments.

• Proficiency in presenting ideas to department heads, leveraging data and strategic insights.

• Ability to translate customer needs to various departments effectively.

• Strong analytical skills to assess project impacts on product success.

• Expertise in Risk, Marketing, or Software Engineering is essential.

• Proficient use of AI tools, including LLM assistants and AI coding/analysis platforms.

• Significant experience in consumer lending is advantageous.

• SQL writing skills are a plus.

• Experience in a startup environment or as an entrepreneur is a plus.
