This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive modernization strategy for an established product line, which includes the target-state product, migration pathway, and multi-year investment planning.
• Engage in thorough discovery sessions with current customers, former customers, and potential clients.
• Construct and advocate for business cases that encompass market sizing, retention risks, expansion opportunities, and build/buy/partner considerations.
• Determine which elements will be retained, reimagined, or phased out, and effectively communicate these decisions both internally and externally.
• Assess opportunities for AI-native capabilities to supplant legacy workflows.
• Formulate competitive strategies and position the modernized product for success.
• Convert strategic plans into PRDs, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture on replatforming, data migration, phased implementation, and parity thresholds.
• Establish and monitor modernization success metrics, including migration velocity, retention, adoption, and NPS recovery.
• Prioritize scope trade-offs to deliver value within quarters rather than years.
• Design the customer migration and communication strategy in partnership with Customer Success and Implementation.
• Develop positioning and messaging and empower Sales to convey the vision effectively.
• Represent the modernization initiative externally to key customers, industry partners, and during conferences.
• Assist in strategic deals and collect competitive intelligence in collaboration with Sales.
• Over 7 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, having owned at least one product area end-to-end at the strategic level.
• Proven experience leading product modernization efforts, replatforming initiatives, legacy migrations, or significant rewrites, including customer transitions.
• Demonstrated capability to function independently in ambiguous, zero-to-one-adjacent environments within an established organization.
• A history of developing business cases and multi-year roadmaps that secured executive investment.
• Experience working alongside Engineering on architectural trade-offs and the phased delivery of large-scale projects.
• Strong analytical abilities with experience in using product analytics tools such as Pendo, Amplitude, or comparable platforms.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders ranging from C-suite executives to individual customers.
• A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
• Experience in mortgage lending, lending compliance, financial services technology, or regulatory technology is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory-driven products such as HMDA, TRID, fair lending, or licensing is an advantage.
• Experience with products acquired through mergers and acquisitions and integrated into a larger platform is a plus.
