Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a significant product area.

• Recognize customer challenges through interviews, workflow analysis, product analytics, and market research.

• Convert customer requirements into product strategies and prioritized roadmaps.

• Establish product success metrics and utilize data to continually enhance customer outcomes.

• Balance customer value with technical complexity and business priorities.

• Create intelligent product experiences utilizing structured data, large language models, retrieval systems, and automation.

• Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering to define AI capabilities.

• Specify product requirements for AI features, covering evaluation criteria, quality metrics, confidence thresholds, and customer feedback systems.

• Ensure that AI-generated outputs are transparent, explainable, and meet customer expectations and regulatory standards.

• Gain an in-depth understanding of clinical development workflows and customer challenges.

• Map customer journeys and pinpoint opportunities to simplify intricate workflows.

• Validate concepts through customer interviews, usability testing, and prototype assessments.

• Partner with customers throughout the product development process.

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, and Data Science throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Lead product planning, backlog prioritization, release planning, and customer adoption efforts.

• Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and progress to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Ensure product releases provide measurable customer and business value.

• Define and track KPIs such as adoption, engagement, customer satisfaction, workflow efficiency, and AI quality.

• Employ experimentation and product analytics to enhance product performance.

• Develop evaluation frameworks to assess product quality and customer impact.

• Mentor Associate Product Managers and contribute to best practices in product management.

• Promote collaboration across Engineering, Design, Clinical SMEs, Commercial, and Customer Success.

• Advocate for customer focus, experimentation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in product management, focusing on enterprise software or SaaS products.

• Proven track record of guiding products from discovery to commercial launch.

• Strong experience in customer discovery and product strategy.

• Experience in defining product roadmaps and prioritizing multiple initiatives.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Experience in developing products that utilize artificial intelligence or machine learning.

• Familiarity with Large Language Models (such as Claude, ChatGPT).

• Knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation.

• Understanding of AI agents.

• Familiarity with semantic search.

• Knowledge of vector databases.

• Experience with prompt engineering.

• Experience collaborating with Data Science teams to implement AI capabilities in production.

• Knowledge in defining AI quality metrics and evaluation frameworks.

• Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, APIs, and contemporary data architectures.
