Senior Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Drive product adoption, utilization, and value creation for a key segment of Orbital.

• Gain a deep understanding of users, including their technical needs, challenges, and decision-making processes.

• Take ownership of the product strategy and roadmap for the designated area of Orbital.

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of downstream operations and associated workflows.

• Prioritize customer insights and product hypotheses to maximize impact.

• Define requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria clearly.

• Continuously iterate and test in collaboration with engineering and research teams.

• Foster strong relationships and maintain feedback loops with customers and users.

• Analyze product metrics, usage data, and utilization statistics.

• Regularly engage with customers, including onsite visits when beneficial.

• Advocate for customer needs within the organization and communicate roadmap direction to clients.

• Convert customer requirements into features, functionalities, workflows, and capabilities.

• Ensure that the product area is effectively adopted, utilized, and delivering value to customers.

• Translate operational challenges from downstream into a prioritized backlog.

• Collaborate with research and engineering leads to scope, define, and sequence tasks.

• Work closely with customer-facing project managers on timelines and resource allocation.

• Communicate the roadmap, reasoning, and trade-offs to leadership, engineering teams, and customers.

• Identify risks and scope trade-offs proactively.

• Maintain roadmaps, release notes, and customer-facing capability overviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in enterprise B2B SaaS or deep-tech sectors.

• Familiarity with physics, chemistry, heavy industry, manufacturing, or energy sectors.

• Hands-on experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy industries, particularly in downstream (refining, petrochemicals).

• Proven track record of creating innovative tech products.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, incomplete data, and shifting customer requirements effectively.

• Strong, clear, and structured communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience in building AI products is considered a plus.

• Familiarity with developing agentic workflows and product experiences is an advantage.

• Exposure to enterprise delivery environments is a bonus.

• Background in process control, operations, or reliability engineering software is a plus.
