Senior Product Designer, UI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive design process for key product initiatives within an AI-driven product development lifecycle.

• Convert user requirements, business objectives, and product specifications into scalable experience frameworks, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and production-ready designs.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Enablement teams on AI-enhanced product design workflows.

• Offer design leadership and human oversight to influence product strategy.

• Refine design concepts and AI-generated outputs to ensure intuitive, accessible, scalable, and consistent user experiences.

• Manage and advance the design system for both human- and AI-generated experiences.

• Guarantee that UI components and interaction patterns are consistent, reusable, and can be implemented by engineering teams.

• Advocate for WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

• Facilitate alignment among Product, Engineering, Research, and Content teams.

• Recognize design opportunities, clarify vague requirements, and identify risks early on.

• Work alongside Product Managers, Engineering, and Research to develop strategy, ensure design accuracy, validate solutions, and translate insights into product decisions.

• Utilize AI for ideation, exploration, and delivery while maintaining human oversight.

• Evaluate AI-generated experiences against user needs, UX best practices, accessibility, and design system standards.

• Establish quality controls for reliable and user-friendly AI-enhanced design outcomes.

• Lead design critiques and define quality standards.

• Mentor team members on human and AI-assisted design methodologies.

• Promote responsible collaboration between human creativity, design expertise, and AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be residents of the United States, either in one of the 50 States or the District of Columbia.

• Proof of U.S. citizenship is required at the time of hiring.

• Work authorization must not necessitate current or future visa sponsorship.

• Practical experience with Claude, Claude Design, Figma Make, Figma Design Agent, or comparable AI tools in daily design practices.

• Proven experience in designing and delivering product experiences for web and mobile applications.

• Strong design judgment and exemplary execution skills.

• Proficient in AI and capable of utilizing emerging design tools.

• Comprehensive knowledge of user-centered design, information architecture, interaction design, and typography.

• Background in motion design or micro-interactions.

• Experience in building and scaling design systems.

• Familiarity with design system governance and the design-to-development handoff processes.

• Advanced, expert-level proficiency in Figma, including variables, auto-layout, advanced prototyping, and complex component libraries.

• Basic understanding of front-end development, including HTML, CSS, and React.

• Experience in benefits administration and/or user research and testing is a plus.

• Successful completion of a background check, with specifics determined by the position.
