This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as the legal advisor for product teams.
β’ Take ownership of the company's strategy regarding healthcare regulation and privacy.
β’ Provide legal insights and guidance on U.S. healthcare technology regulations, encompassing HIPAA, state privacy laws, the Anti-Kickback Statute, OIG regulations, PhRMA codes, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, accessibility, and payment regulations.
β’ Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the business and products, advising on regulatory feasibility.
β’ Develop expertise in payments, card processing, and financial services regulations.
β’ Collaborate with executive, product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams on regulatory obligations and implementation.
β’ Create processes that enable teams to execute efficiently based on legal advice.
β’ Work alongside the Chief Privacy Officer to safeguard patient data.
β’ Contribute to the enhancement of the Legal team and support fellow colleagues.
β’ Extensive experience advising product and engineering teams on navigating a heavily regulated environment.
β’ Capacity to rapidly learn new legal areas and offer practical, defensible guidance.
β’ Innovative problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity, complexity, and nuances.
β’ Exceptional legal and business acumen.
β’ Proficiency in translating intricate legal matters and risks into clear, comprehensible concepts.
β’ Ability to engage in constructive discussions around risk and have assumptions scrutinized.
β’ Skill in fostering enduring professional relationships.
β’ Capability to work swiftly and accurately.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Ability to function effectively in a remote work environment.
β’ Bachelorβs degree is mandatory.
β’ Juris Doctor (JD) from a prestigious law school.
β’ Over 8 years of experience in healthcare regulation, combining time at a top-tier law firm and in-house positions.
β’ Licensed to practice law in your state of residence.
β’ Significant experience in product counseling, advising product teams on regulated products from inception to launch.
