This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Track global developments in privacy and data protection and interpret enforcement trends into practical guidance.
β’ Evaluate and provide counsel on new products and business initiatives within e-commerce, advertising, healthcare, and AI-driven product sectors.
β’ Create privacy frameworks for the use of advertising data, audience targeting, measurement, consent, and the management of sensitive data restrictions.
β’ Analyze and oversee data sharing agreements with retail partners, advertisers, vendors, and subsidiaries.
β’ Implement Data Processing Agreements (DPA), Business Associate Agreements (BAA), and cross-border transfer mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the Data Privacy Framework (DPF).
β’ Assist with Privacy Risk Assessments (PRAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
β’ Enhance privacy intake and documentation processes.
β’ Develop guidance, templates, playbooks, and training materials.
β’ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a prestigious law school.
β’ Admission to at least one U.S. state bar; California bar membership required or the ability to register as in-house counsel.
β’ Over 6 years of experience specializing in privacy and data protection.
β’ Extensive knowledge of CCPA, GDPR, HIPAA, and U.S. state privacy and health data regulations.
β’ Experience providing advice on adtech, data sharing, and consumer data usage in retail, e-commerce, or platform settings.
β’ Capacity to simplify complex legal requirements into actionable, business-friendly guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
