This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the primary data partner for product and product design, participating in roadmap planning and contributing to feature scoping discussions.
• Take ownership of product analytics instrumentation by reviewing tracking, pinpointing gaps, and collaborating with engineers to resolve them.
• Develop and sustain dbt models for product, growth, and operational reporting purposes.
• Create and manage dashboards and self-service tools for Product Managers and leadership teams.
• Foster a deep understanding of engagement, retention, and activation metrics while providing insights to guide product decisions.
• Identify key indicators of product-market fit and monitor their progress over time.
• Construct and uphold scalable data pipelines within the data warehouse for both product and user data.
• Partner with analytics engineers who handle clinical and research data to ensure shared infrastructure and standards.
• Highlight product and growth data quality issues and establish reliable data standards.
• Report directly to the Manager of Data and Analytics as a senior individual contributor.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in analytics engineering or a closely related data position.
• Previous experience in a consumer-facing organization.
• Experience in a startup environment.
• Proficient in SQL and dbt.
• Practical experience with Mixpanel, including collaborating with engineers to define and implement event tracking.
• Demonstrated success in working closely with product managers and designers as a data partner.
• Familiarity with funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and retention modeling.
• Experience with BigQuery, dbt, Stitch, and Hex, or a comparable tech stack.
• Ability to bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Comfortable utilizing AI tools to enhance efficiency.
• Experience in designing or supporting A/B testing and interpreting the results of experiments.
• Must be based in the United States; Novellia is unable to sponsor employment visas.
