This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Design, construct, and enhance enterprise-level analytical data models utilizing dbt Core/Cloud and advanced SQL.
• Organize modular data transformations that reveal standardized clinical and operational datasets.
• Create and refine scalable pipelines to handle large volumes of healthcare data, including EHR, Claims, FHIR, and HL7 inputs.
• Minimize compute durations and reduce costs associated with warehouse/lakehouse operations.
• Develop, automate, and oversee production-grade Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) using asset-centric orchestration frameworks like Dagster.
• Establish real-time data freshness checks, anomaly detection, and automated alert systems.
• Work in collaboration with Data Engineering, Governance, and BI teams on ELT integration, semantic models, metric definitions, and data contracts.
• Ensure HIPAA and HITECH compliance throughout codebases.
• Implement row- and column-level security, dynamic PII/PHI masking, CI/CD code checks, and maintain technical documentation for audit preparedness.
• Over 6 years of experience in analytics and data engineering.
• Significant background in senior analytics engineering or data positions.
• Proficient in SQL, dbt, Python, and workflow orchestration platforms like Dagster/Airflow.
• Extensive hands-on experience with healthcare data frameworks, including FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, CPT, and claims feeds.
• Familiarity with PHI protection standards as outlined by HIPAA.
• Experience managing governed analytics pipelines within cloud data environments such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS EMR/Redshift, and BigQuery.
