This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the development and advancement of enterprise analytical modeling standards, which encompass domain boundaries, shared entities, dimensional design, and the architecture of the semantic layer.
• Establish standards for model design, testing, documentation, lineage, observability, access, code reviews, and management of releases.
• Facilitate the shift from isolated marts and dashboard-specific logic to reusable, governed data products.
• Oversee architecture reviews, steer system design, and collaboratively make high-impact technical decisions with members of the data team.
• Drive cross-domain design initiatives with stakeholders from Product, Engineering, Finance/Accounting, Clinical, Research, Growth/Marketing, and AI.
• Determine how trusted measures and dimensions are presented across Sigma, analytical workflows, and governed AI experiences.
• Enhance data quality ownership by linking business definitions, source system accountability, automated controls, and incident response mechanisms.
• Implement and operationalize the enterprise data governance framework alongside Data leadership, translating organizational objectives into standards, ownership models, quality controls, documentation, and adoption practices.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
• Extensive expertise in SQL, dbt, dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, and the development of reusable analytical data products.
• Practical experience in designing semantic or metrics layers utilized by multiple analytical consumers.
• Profound knowledge of testing, observability, lineage, metadata, access controls, privacy-aware architecture, and software development lifecycle practices.
• Capability to guide architecture through influence, produce clear technical decision records, and mentor seasoned engineers.
• Experience in balancing enterprise consistency with iterative delivery and domain-specific requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to connect technical decisions with organizational risk, speed, cost, and business outcomes.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and will not require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
• Background check is necessary as part of the hiring process.
• Preferred: Experience with Databricks, Fivetran, Sigma, dbt MetricFlow, or a similar semantic layer platform.
• Preferred: Experience with healthcare data in a regulated environment.
• Preferred: Experience in designing data contracts, domain-oriented data products, or a data governance operating model.
• Preferred: Experience in modernizing a growing analytical environment without disrupting essential reporting.
