This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and enhance key elements of the analytics platform, such as data models, pipelines, metric definitions, semantic layers, and self-service reporting experiences.
• Create, construct, and sustain scalable and dependable data models and transformations utilizing dbt.
• Develop reliable sources of truth that support decision-making across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, Go-to-Market, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and other business areas.
• Collect requirements, comprehend business challenges, translate needs into technical solutions, and articulate tradeoffs.
• Design and refine dashboards, analytical tools, and enablement resources.
• Oversee data products through stages of discovery, design, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, monitoring, governance, and iteration.
• Enhance the reliability, observability, performance, and data quality of ELT workflows and integrations.
• Set standards for data modeling, testing, documentation, lineage, governance, access controls, and metric consistency.
• Leverage AI to enhance analytics workflows and facilitate new types of analysis.
• Address technical and data-quality issues, pinpoint root causes, and implement lasting solutions.
• Mentor and assist junior analytics colleagues through technical support, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and the development of reusable patterns.
• Contribute to shaping the Analytics technical roadmap through automation, process enhancements, and scalable platform investments.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence engineering, or a closely related discipline; equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Proven success in leading complex, cross-functional data initiatives from vague problem definitions to delivery, adoption, and measurable business outcomes.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and extensive experience in designing, building, and managing analytical data models and pipelines.
• Strong practical experience with dbt and contemporary analytics-engineering methodologies, including testing, version control, documentation, orchestration, observability, and data quality management.
• Familiarity with modern ELT and activation tools like Fivetran and Hightouch, or similar technologies.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and warehouses; proficiency in Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with business intelligence and semantic-layer tools such as Omni, Looker, Sigma, Tableau, Mode, Hex, or similar platforms; experience with Omni is an advantage.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts and data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience applying AI in data, analytics, engineering, or business workflows.
• Strong understanding of dimensional and analytical data modeling, metric governance, lineage, access controls, and trusted-source-of-truth practices.
• Capability to balance technical precision with practical application.
• Experience in mentoring, reviewing peers' work, and fostering the growth of fellow technical team members.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort in operating independently in a dynamic, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities.
• A curious mindset, initiative, and a builder's perspective.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth company is preferred, though not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Python or another quantitative programming language is a plus.
