Senior Database/ETL Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Support the comprehensive development, upkeep, and enhancement of enterprise-grade ETL processes utilizing DataStage for HRC application structures.

• Create intricate data mapping and transformation logic while ensuring data integrity across various sources within the Army’s data warehouse ecosystem.

• Provide maintenance for Cyber and IA database systems.

• Ensure compliance of ETL jobs with security measures and Information Assurance standards.

• Evaluate and deliver technical solutions for data initiatives throughout the development lifecycle, from initial data ingestion to report generation.

• Implement and oversee job scheduling and monitoring tools for ensuring 24/7 reliability of data pipelines.

• Create technical documentation, which includes Visio data-flow diagrams, mapping specifications, and system architecture summaries.

• Aid in the modernization of complex data pipelines for the US Army Human Resources Command.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an Active Secret clearance.

• Current CompTIA Security+ / IAT level II certification.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5-7 years of relevant experience.

• At least three (3) years of ETL experience specifically with Army Human Resource Command data.

• Proficiency in on-premises or cloud environments utilizing PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL databases.

• Familiarity with IBM InfoSphere DataStage and best practices in ETL.

• Must hold a professional certification as Technical Level III (IAT Level III) as stipulated by DoDI 8570.01-M.

• Demonstrated experience in data warehousing, XML/HTML, and open-source development environments.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Must be a US citizen.
