Senior Producer, HUB

📋 Description

• Advocate for both existing and emerging technologies while delivering training on these innovations in designated markets.

• Create, organize, and compose localized content for 24/7 station streams within Scripps' local media markets.

• Collaborate closely with local station news leadership and other key personnel to curate timely information for the designated daypart.

• Generate a vibrant product that aligns with the Scripps content strategy.

• Evaluate current workflows and partner with newsroom staff to implement enhancements that boost effectiveness and efficiency.

• Make independent, time-sensitive decisions with clear communication.

• Serve as an ambassador for the Scripps Content Strategy.

• Supervise newscast and real-time editorial choices.

• Utilize creativity, share innovative ideas, and produce content in fresh and distinctive approaches.

⛳️ Requirements

• A BS/BA in a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience may be considered.

• Typically, 6+ years of experience in television news production is preferred.

• Familiarity with current events and local news within Scripps markets.

• Exceptional time management and prioritization abilities.

• Highly organized with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.

• Capacity to quickly build relationships, communicate effectively, and influence others without direct authority.

• Proficient in editing software within a newsroom setting.

• Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills.

• Capability to make independent decisions.

• A creative mindset and a willingness to explore new news production styles.

• Ability to think strategically and see the big picture.

• Eagerness to learn and experiment with new technologies.
