Senior Procurement Subject Matter Expert – SME

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Identify valuable, procurement-focused use cases and workflows that shape the product roadmap.

• Collaborate with product management to inform procurement-related product strategies and prioritize roadmap initiatives.

• Assist in acquiring new clients and driving procurement-oriented sales efforts.

• Bring practitioner credibility to strategic discussions with potential clients.

• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineering to establish procurement workflows with clients.

• Educate and direct best practices for procurement implementation alongside Professional Services.

• Create procurement expertise and scalable, reusable resources with Customer Success Managers to enhance adoption and growth.

• Elevate procurement thought leadership and represent the organization at conferences.

• Act as a representative for Agiloft at industry events and within market-facing materials.

• Formulate ecosystem strategies and integrated workflow theories in partnership with Alliances.

• Enhance ecosystem integration and partner alignment throughout the source-to-pay landscape.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools to boost productivity and optimize workflows.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of leadership or transformation experience in procurement, at the Director level or higher.

• Proven track record in leading procurement technology and transformation projects.

• Practical experience in selecting and deploying procurement technologies.

• In-depth knowledge of source-to-pay ecosystems and trends in procurement technology.

• Exceptional skills in executive communication, presentation, and thought leadership.

• Capability to engage credibly with senior procurement executives and clients.

• Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and related source-to-pay technologies.

• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, healthcare, or indirect procurement settings.

• Previous transition to a procurement technology vendor or consulting firm after holding operational leadership roles.

• Experience in influencing both product and go-to-market strategies in a cross-functional role.
