Senior Procurement Professional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute effective strategies for sourcing and category management

• Oversee the company's supply portfolio while ensuring transparency in spending

• Adhere to federal and state regulatory standards

• Reconcile purchases with vendor invoices

• Confirm pricing accuracy and compliance with contracts

• Track sales and margins through negotiations with vendors and promotional initiatives

• Handle purchasing operations with pharmaceutical companies for medication procurement

• Shape departmental strategy

• Make decisions regarding technical approaches for project components

• Report directly to an Associate Director

• Operate as an individual contributor

• No domestic travel is required; occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be necessary

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, vendor management, and/or contracting

• Prior experience with sourcing through RFI/RFQ/RFP processes

• Proven ability to partner with and present to leadership

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Strong skills in relationship-building and stakeholder management

• Business analysis expertise to design and implement sourcing programs and services

• Capability to work autonomously with limited oversight

• Ability to effectively contribute as both a team member and team leader

• Skill in tailoring communication for various audiences, including senior leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred)

• Project Management skills (preferred)

• Experience in spend analytics and reporting (preferred)

• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload

• A dedicated workspace free from interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information
