Senior Principal Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define and communicate the long-term vision and objectives of the product, ensuring alignment with the overarching business strategy.

• Develop the product vision, strategy, outcome-oriented roadmap, and product backlog.

• Facilitate effective verbal and written communication among teams and stakeholders.

• Organize and lead meetings with team members and senior stakeholders from the Department of the Air Force.

• Convey the vision, strategy, roadmap, and backlog to diverse audiences.

• Make informed decisions regarding product features, scope, and priorities by utilizing stakeholder insights, market analysis, and team feedback.

• Recognize team challenges and opportunities, actively seeking solutions.

• Guide and influence a well-rounded cross-functional team in daily operations.

• Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and product vision.

• Document operational requirements and user experiences.

• Create user stories with acceptance criteria for the development team.

• Advocate for user-centered design both internally and with customers.

• Act as a liaison between stakeholders and development teams to integrate needs into the product backlog.

• Communicate complex ideas effectively, anticipate objections, and persuade senior stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).

• Minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience in Product Management.

• Strong grasp of Agile development methodologies.

• Comprehensive understanding of Lean Product Management principles.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proven experience in guiding products from conception to market launch.

• Familiarity with user-centered design, concept and usability testing, and various research methodologies.

• Experience in stakeholder management, effective communication, and presentation skills.

• Background in collaborating within a balanced team to build, measure, and learn.

• Experience in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.

• Proficiency in balancing customer and user feedback to develop desirable solutions.

• Preferred: Knowledge of trends in US Space Force digital services and emerging technologies.

• Preferred: Experience in providing insights on product decisions through user research, customer development, and iterative feedback cycles.

• Preferred: Experience in designing and/or developing full-service applications.
