This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for autonomy capabilities that integrate RF sensing, perception, state estimation, sensor fusion, decision logic, guidance, navigation, and vehicle control.
• Oversee the development and enhancement of advanced radar and RF signal processing algorithms.
• Act as the senior technical authority for the performance of autonomy and RF systems.
• Conduct trade studies, make requirements decisions, perform architecture and algorithm reviews, and resolve technical risks.
• Create and manage comprehensive simulation, modeling, and verification methodologies.
• Facilitate cross-functional integration across autonomy, software, RF hardware, avionics, embedded computing, vehicle systems, flight sciences, systems engineering, testing, and manufacturing.
• Convert mission and vehicle requirements into technical specifications, performance budgets, interface definitions, algorithm specifications, verification plans, and success criteria.
• Direct the implementation of real-time algorithms using MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and DSP environments.
• Lead technical interactions with customers, partners, suppliers, and executive stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers, establish technical standards, recruit specialized talent, and enhance practices in algorithm development, systems engineering, modeling, verification, and testing.
• Impact investment decisions, technical proposals, and growth initiatives.
• Define distinctive autonomy and RF capabilities while supporting customer-facing technical discussions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 15 or more years of professional experience in autonomy, radar, RF sensing, signal processing, guidance and navigation, sensor fusion, aerospace systems, robotics, or related complex technical domains.
• Proven technical leadership in the architecture, development, integration, and deployment of advanced autonomous systems, RF sensing, radar, electronic warfare, avionics, aerospace, or defense systems.
• In-depth knowledge of radar and RF signal processing, including waveform design, adaptive processing, beamforming, direction finding, target detection and tracking, clutter modeling, interference mitigation, and performance evaluation.
• Experience in developing and validating algorithms through high-fidelity end-to-end simulation, encompassing sensor models, RF environmental models, vehicle dynamics, 6 degrees of freedom simulation, and operationally representative scenarios.
• Proven ability to translate mission needs into system and subsystem requirements, performance allocations, interface definitions, algorithm specifications, verification plans, and testing objectives.
• Significant hands-on experience with MATLAB and Python, in addition to experience in developing or transitioning algorithms into C, C++, real-time DSP, embedded systems, or hardware-accelerated environments.
• Experience in leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, conducting design reviews, and resolving complex cross-functional technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills with the capability to influence senior technical leaders, program leaders, external customers, and executive stakeholders.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in a related technical discipline.
• Preferred: Active U.S. Secret or higher security clearance.
