Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, SLED

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Comprehend customer business drivers and their motivations for decision-making.

• Link Everpure technology solutions and ecosystem offerings to quantifiable customer business results.

• Collaborate with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to develop customer strategies that enhance revenue growth and generate new business.

• Offer technical leadership and domain expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competing DAS, NAS, and SAN solutions.

• Oversee evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.

• Create and present technical product and architecture presentations to customers and potential accounts.

• Gather requirements and convert customer business needs into innovative solutions.

• Seek opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation.

• Advocate for roadmap and planning discussions.

• Work together with product and technical marketing on whitepapers and online presentations that support alliance strategies.

• Monitor competitors and maintain precise differentiated solution positioning.

• Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to foster thought leadership.

• Demonstrate Everpure values through leadership by example.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior pre-sales experience is essential.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications is required.

• Experience in supporting the sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts is preferred.

• In-depth understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.

• Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out versus scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.

• Previous experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.

• Experience in contributing significantly to or leading RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses.

• Extensive knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.

• Proficient with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.

• Experience with installing and configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystem architectures, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.

• Strong expertise in Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers.

• Understanding of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking concepts.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is advantageous.

• Knowledge of storage-intensive applications such as structured databases, SQL, and Oracle is highly sought after.

• Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
