Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

• Comprehend the business operations and decision-making factors of customers.

• Link Everpure’s range of technology solutions to tangible business results for customers.

• Collaborate with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to formulate strategies that enhance revenue growth and generate new business.

• Offer technical guidance and expertise in storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competing DAS, NAS, and SAN solutions.

• Oversee evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.

• Create and present technical product and architecture demonstrations to customers and potential clients.

• Gather requirements and convert customer business necessities into innovative solutions.

• Identify opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation.

• Advocate for roadmap and planning discussions.

• Work alongside product and technical marketing to generate whitepapers and web presentations.

• Monitor competitors and maintain precise differentiated solution positioning.

• Keep an eye on market trends and the competitive environment to foster thought leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Pre-sales experience is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications.

• Preferred experience in supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise clients.

• Profound understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.

• Knowledge of modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out versus scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.

• Proven experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.

• Experience in contributing to or leading RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses.

• Extensive knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.

• Familiarity with Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.

• Experience in installing/configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystem architectures, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.

• Knowledge of Cloud Native architecture, on-premises environments, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.

• Understanding of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures is advantageous.

• Knowledge of storage-intensive applications such as structured databases, SQL, and Oracle is highly preferred.
