Senior Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer business drivers and their decision-making motivations.

• Link technology solutions from the Everpure portfolio and ecosystem to quantifiable customer business outcomes.

• Collaborate with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to formulate customer strategies that foster revenue growth and acquire new business.

• Provide technical guidance and domain expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive DAS, NAS, and SAN solutions.

• Oversee evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.

• Create and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and prospective accounts.

• Gather requirements and transform customer business needs into innovative solutions.

• Identify opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation.

• Advocate for roadmap and planning discussions.

• Collaborate with product and technical marketing to develop whitepapers and web presentations.

• Monitor competitors and maintain a differentiated solution positioning.

• Encourage thought leadership regarding market trends and the competitive landscape.

⛳️ Requirements

• Pre-sales experience is necessary.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience across technology, design, and communications.

• Preferred experience in supporting sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise accounts.

• In-depth knowledge of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions.

• Familiarity with modern web architecture, including the LAMP stack, scale-out versus scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture.

• Proven experience in targeting new prospects and converting them into clients.

• Experience in contributing to or leading RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses.

• Extensive knowledge of storage architectures including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.

• Proficient in Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.

• Experience in installing and configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory subsystems, storage subsystem architectures, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.

• Strong understanding of Cloud Native architecture, on-premises environments, public cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.

• Knowledge of VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.

• Familiarity with storage-intensive applications such as structured databases, SQL, and Oracle is highly desirable.
