Consulting Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, Strategics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain technical account strategies that encompass customer architecture, limitations, roadmaps, existing Everpure implementations, gaps, and upcoming initiatives.

• Act as the primary technical liaison for infrastructure architects, leaders in storage and platform engineering, and technology executives.

• Guide intricate technical pursuits from initial discovery through to final decision-making.

• Create solutions, conduct sizing, respond to RFIs and RFPs, execute proofs of concept and lab assessments, and spearhead competitive evaluations.

• Assist customers in architecting container, storage, and data layers for scalable AI applications.

• Oversee operations involving Kubernetes and OpenShift data services, virtualization transitions, NVMe over TCP and Ethernet block, object storage, and cyber resilience.

• Coordinate with specialists, professional services, and partner engineers while managing technical workflows.

• Collaborate with the GAM on account planning, forecasting, and maintaining pipeline integrity.

• Advocate for stringent financial institution requirements to product management and contribute to shaping roadmap priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten years in enterprise infrastructure, including at least five years in a customer-facing presales, solutions architecture, or field engineering capacity.

• Direct experience encompassing large financial services institutions is highly anticipated.

• Proficient understanding of enterprise block, file and object storage, data protection and replication, and production-load behavior.

• Working knowledge of virtualization, Kubernetes, and container platforms, particularly OpenShift.

• Familiarity with storage networking technologies: Ethernet, NVMe over TCP, RDMA, and Fibre Channel.

• Experience with at least one major public cloud platform.

• Exceptional executive communication abilities.

• Proven success in winning technical evaluations against established storage and infrastructure vendors.

• Experience in constructing displacement cases that can withstand customer scrutiny.

• Preference for familiarity with analytics and lakehouse platforms, data governance, and data discovery.

• Exposure to GPU infrastructure and AI workloads is advantageous.

• Relevant certifications are preferred or considered a plus.

• Previous experience with Everpure FlashArray, FlashBlade, or Portworx is a plus but not mandatory.
