This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer high-level expertise by integrating policy and domain knowledge with programs and systems.
• Examine intricate problems and policies, provide recommendations, and develop alternative solutions.
• Draft documents and collaborate with design and engineering teams to implement plans effectively.
• Advise senior management, teaming partners, government clients, and stakeholders.
• Conduct research, analysis, and interpretation of policies, statutes, regulations, and subregulatory guidance.
• Synthesize policy information for clients and stakeholders.
• Develop effective communication strategies and create high-quality written materials.
• Convey policy insights and requirements to UX researchers, designers, product strategists, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Assist teams in understanding the application of policy in relation to systems or products.
• Support design, development, and implementation strategies for products and services.
• Cultivate relationships among individuals, teams, projects, A1M, and clients to enhance delivery.
• Secure buy-in, identify risks and conflicts, manage upward communication, and escalate issues as needed.
• Initiate and lead cross-disciplinary projects.
• Coach and mentor individuals across various practice areas.
• Anticipate and proactively provide information essential for other practices and disciplines.
• Identify and address government requirements and policies impacting project work, including accessibility, PRA, FOIA, acquisition regulations, and security compliance.
• Represent the company and team to clients, even in challenging situations.
• Over 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in political science, communications, or a related field.
• Personal experience with government health and human services programs.
• Proficiency in applying policy expertise, including understanding policy hierarchy and analyzing and interpreting statutes, regulations, and agency guidance, within a team.
• Familiarity with Medicare, the ACA, and Medicaid and CHIP.
• Previous experience working for or within a state or federal government.
• Experience with a government health agency, Medicaid agency, or similar governmental organizations.
• Background in collaborating with distributed, cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, engineers, and subject matter experts.
• Adaptability to clients’ evolving strategic priorities.
• Must reside in the United States, including all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories.
• Must have lived in the United States for 3 of the past 5 years.
• Not eligible to reside in New York state.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. and not require ongoing visa sponsorship.
• Must be a permanent resident of the U.S.
• Completion of a Public Trust form and applicable SF85 or SF85P questionnaire, including fingerprinting, is required.
• Flexibility to work hours that accommodate partners primarily in Eastern Standard Time.
• Active participation in client virtual meetings, including being on camera, is required.
