Senior Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain Bridgeway’s platform that supports software development and deployment.

• Build scalable, resilient, and efficient platform solutions utilizing cloud services and contemporary software design frameworks.

• Create modular and reusable infrastructure leveraging Terraform and associated tools.

• Enhance DevOps practices through interdepartmental and cross-functional automation.

• Architect, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to meet platform functions and customer needs at scale.

• Deliver solutions employing event-driven, object-oriented, and functional design patterns.

• Design and implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure reliability and performance.

• Define and uphold platform-system lifecycle processes related to updates, patches, and security compliance.

• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, analyze performance, and implement optimizations.

• Plan infrastructure scaling in response to evolving business requirements.

• Apply security-first practices to adhere to SOC, SOC2, HIPAA, NIST, and other regulatory standards.

• Implement and manage IAM, firewalls, and SIEM solutions.

• Integrate various and non-traditional systems.

• Lead assigned projects while fostering cross-team collaboration, delivery, and accountability.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with development standards.

• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure platform-service reliability and availability.

• Utilize generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot to enhance workflows and expedite delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in platform, cloud, or SRE engineering.

• Advanced knowledge of AWS and Azure.

• Strong understanding of Python, Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.

• Experience in transitioning legacy environments to modern cloud practices.

• Significant experience with Git and collaborative workflows.

• Intermediate proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or other Infrastructure as Code frameworks.

• Intermediate experience in developing CI/CD pipelines and utilizing relevant tools.

• Intermediate proficiency with Agile methodologies and SDLC processes.

• Solid understanding of containerization tools such as Docker, Podman, and LXC.

• Ability to work effectively in uncertain situations.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Experience with generative AI tools such as Claude and Copilot.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
