Senior Platform Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable self-service functionalities across engineering platforms.

• Enhance the developer experience by streamlining onboarding, deployment, and operational processes.

• Convert architectural designs into production-level implementations.

• Propel platform reliability, security, and performance enhancements in accordance with industry best practices.

• Manage platforms using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management techniques.

• Collaborate with Tech Leads, developers, and operations teams to address evolving business requirements.

• Participate in support rotations, including occasional after-hours responses, to ensure platform stability.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for knowledge sharing and platform adoption.

• Mentor and support junior engineers, elevating overall engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation.

• More than 3 years of experience with cloud providers, with a preference for Azure.

• At least 2 years of experience in building and managing platforms utilizing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) and container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker).

• Experience in managing CI/CD platforms and tools such as GitHub, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, ACR, Artifactory, and Packer.

• Experience in supporting Kubernetes or cloud-native applications, including microservices and containers.

• Strong knowledge of cloud identity, networking, and security, including Entra ID.

• Proficient scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, HCL, etc.

• In-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, and cloud-native operations.

• Solid understanding of platform reliability, observability, and principles of operational excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
