This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee the complete recruitment process for physicians and providers from inception to conclusion.
• Build, nurture, and enhance partnerships with AMSURG Practice Partners and the Operations Leadership Team in designated markets.
• Evaluate physician volume and practice requirements.
• Provide consultation and assistance with strategic recruitment plans for practices.
• Suggest recruitment and alignment approaches.
• Create and execute candidate sourcing strategies.
• Assess practices and identify recruitment potential for new roles.
• Stay informed about the assigned practice markets, including statistics, demographics, competitors, and state licensure timelines.
• Review physician compensation packages against market data and regional trends.
• Source and oversee prospective physician and provider candidates from lead generation through to hiring.
• Reach out to leads via cold calling and email communication.
• Ensure job descriptions and advertising promotions are accurate and up-to-date.
• Contribute to and provide feedback on candidate throughput procedures.
• Network with specialty associations, recruiting resources, as well as residency and fellowship programs.
• Discuss job vacancies with potential candidates while delivering outstanding customer service.
• Manage on-site practice interviews as required.
• Recommend strategies for sourcing, interviewing, and finalizing contracts.
• Negotiate and facilitate negotiations with prospective candidates.
• Provide timely updates and communication throughout the contract negotiation process.
• Operate within established recruitment budgets.
• Ensure comprehensive data entry for candidates in the proprietary database.
• Stay updated on job knowledge through education, professional publications, networking, and professional organizations.
• Offer routine, transparent updates on candidate and practice activities.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Report any suspected compliance, policy, harassment, or prohibited activity violations and seek clarification on policies when necessary.
• Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university with 7 or more years of relevant experience; or over 20 years of non-clinical recruiting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with recruitment and applicant tracking systems, preferably Bullhorn.
• Skilled in understanding the daily operations of the medical specialties and physician practices represented by AMSURG.
• Proficient in the local and regional communities where AMSURG owns and/or manages practices.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience in working independently as well as in a collaborative, team-oriented setting.
• Strong interpersonal, account management, and project management abilities.
• Capable of making decisions in a fast-paced, professional, service-oriented environment.
• Knowledgeable about recruitment terminology, specialty terminology, and abbreviations.
• Familiar with physician compensation resources and guidelines, including MGMA, AGMA, and Sullivan Cotter.
• Ability to adhere to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, ethics statements, corporate mandates, and mandatory training requirements.
