Senior Pharmacy Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate, investigate, and process pharmacy prior authorization requests in accordance with established criteria, policies, regulatory guidelines, and service-level agreements.

• Investigate and address inquiries and escalations from members, providers, and pharmacies.

• Deliver precise information and ensure appropriate follow-up.

• Record calls, authorization activities, inquiries, and resolutions while adhering to HIPAA, PHI, and program compliance standards.

• Act as a pharmacy subject matter expert.

• Assist in the training of new hires, continuous education, coaching, and development of pharmacy technician team members.

• Observe quality and operational trends.

• Identify opportunities for improvement.

• Collaborate with supervisors and leadership to achieve service, productivity, and quality objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active Certified Pharmacy Technician credential (PTCB/CPhT, ExCPT, or equivalent).

• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience as a pharmacy technician is required.

• Familiarity with pharmacy prior authorizations, prescription claims, medication terminology, and member, provider, or pharmacy support is essential.

• Experience in training, coaching, mentoring, or serving as a subject matter expert is preferred.

• Strong skills in communication, research, problem-solving, computer proficiency, and organization.

• Capability to navigate multiple systems and perform effectively in a fast-paced remote setting.

• Must reside within the United States.
